Event Date:

Saturday, December 14, 2024

Attached are details of the 2024 County XC Championships, including schedule and course/venue maps.

VENUE - HUNGERFORD RUGBY CLUB & COURSE – HUNGERFORD COMMON
Car park – The main parking for the event is Hungerford Rugby Club, Priory Road, Hungerford RG17
0AP. Please follow instructions from the car park marshals so that we can fit as many cars in as
possible. If the car park is full there is an additional car park close to point E on the common,
approximately 800m from the start or park in local roads. Please do not park at Hungerford Football
club, they have a match on that day.
Dogs – Hungerford Rugby Club have a strict rule of no dogs allowed on any part of their Triangle field,
car park or clubhouse.
Officials - Will be given preference to parking spaces but there should be enough spaces for around
100 cars, please car share if at all possible.
Team managers – Can pick up their team’s race bib numbers from inside the clubhouse / registration.
There is no real access from the triangle field out to the Common so it is advised that once they have
collected the number’s they either use trolleys to take the tent 350m to the start, or they drop it off
at the nearest point to the common entrance close to the start finish area. This is at the end of Bulpit
Lane, past the Football Club near Redwood House. Signs will be put out for drop off point.
Tents – Are allowed in the area closest to the hedge that separates the Triangle field from the
common, on the common side.
Toilets – Are only available at the Rugby Club 350m away from the start finish area, please allow time
for this. Changing rooms are also available if required. Please do not go to the toilet out on the
common.
Refreshments – All drinks and food can be purchased either from the rugby club’s “sinbin wagon”
where there will be hot drinks and burgers available or in the clubhouse bar which will also be open
Presentations – These will take place in the clubhouse at the times listed, please do stay for the
presentation if you or your team have won an award.
