Track and Field

Track and field is a sport which includes athletic contests established on the skills of running, jumping, and throwing. The name is derived from the sport's typical venue: a stadium with an oval running track enclosing a grass field where the throwing and jumping events take place. Track and field is categorised under the umbrella sport of athletics, which also includes road running, cross country running, and race walking.

Berkshire Track and Field Championships

Berkshire Athletics is planning to hold a two-day Track and Field County Championships on the weekend of 31 July / 1 August at TVAC, Eton. This would replace the main Championships and separate U13 event, which have been held in recent years.

Further details of on-line entry and timetables will be communicated in due course.

The Berkshire Track and Field Championships, which were due to be held on 8/9 May 2021, have been postponed until later in the summer. Details of the date and venue will be communicated in due course.

These Championships will be held as part of the SEAA Championships at Horspath, Oxford on 23 - 24 July. Athletes entered for that event will be automatically entered for the Berkshire Championships. No separate entry is required. The closing date is 12 July, via the SEAA website.
